Questions on Research Topic

Border Patrol in America
1.  Why might my audience care about this topic?  What might they already know about it?  The audience will probably care a lot about this topic because it is affecting almost all Americans.  They might already know some statistics on this topic but it also might have affected them personally also.
2.  How does this topic help me address the assignment's purpose?  Will this topic expand my learning?  How can i shape this topic into a purpose that will interest my audience?    This topic will help me get to the assignments purpose because in it I can develop an argument and make valid points to try and prove my argument.  I think this topic will expand my learning because there is a lot of research on this topic and it is a very controversial topic in America today.  I can use different forms of rhetoric like pathos, logos, or ethos to keep my audience interested.
3.  Does this topic seem rich enough to help me write a paper of the length asked by the assignment?  Does it seem complex enough for the assignment?  What is happening locally/nationally/internationally around this topic?  This topic seems very rich in information, there is much debate and controversy surrounding the subject.  The subject is very complex there are many rules and regulations that are being broken every day by illegal immagrants coming into the nation.  This subject is very complex and definitely enough for the assignment because there is a lot of controversy over it and much debate.  There is much on this subject going on locally and nationally because it is taking away american jobs and all the money that is going to illegal immigrants is leaving the country.
Google Search-  There is a lot of interest in the topic there are many topics and articles on this subject.  There are many differing opinions on the subject and how it should be handled.  Lots of different subject matter on the topic.  The web pages just give other links to other sites on the subject.
